Can I get the WhatsApp Business API for under ₹1,000 a month in India?
Yes, for the software: Mywa is ₹999/month, or ₹833/month billed annually, with every feature and up to 5 team members. Your total bill also includes Meta's per-message charges and 18% GST, so here is the honest maths, line by line.
Updated October 2026
What ₹1,000 a month really buys
₹1,000 a month is enough for the software, not for the whole bill. For the software, Mywa costs ₹999/month or ₹9,999/year (₹833/month). That is one plan with every feature: a shared team inbox for up to 5 people, bulk and scheduled campaigns, no-code automation, WhatsApp calling and integrations. On top of that you pay Meta for each delivered message, directly, at its official rate. Mywa adds no markup.
Add 18% GST and the software alone is ₹1,178.82 a month on the monthly plan, or ₹983.24 a month on the annual plan. So the annual plan is the one way to keep Mywa under ₹1,000 a month with GST.
Messages are where most of the bill comes from once you send campaigns. In India, Meta charges ₹0.8631 per marketing message and ₹0.115 per utility message (rates effective 1 October 2026, before GST). Replies within 24 hours of a customer's message are free up to 1,000 per number each month. A business that mostly replies to customers can stay close to its software fee. A business sending 1,000 offers a month will not.
- 1
If you work alone from one phone and don't need campaigns at scale, the free WhatsApp Business app is enough.
- 2
If you have a developer and time to build, Meta's Cloud API has no platform fee, only per-message charges.
- 3
If you want a ready-made team inbox and campaigns, look at the total: software, plus messages at the rate each provider charges, plus GST.

We left out DoubleTick, WANotifier and Gallabox here because their cheapest plans start above ₹1,000 a month (see the team of 5 comparison below).
