Getting started

MYWA API

A REST API to send WhatsApp messages, sync your customers, start automations, and read delivery status from your own systems — storefronts, backends, and internal tools.

Send messages

Deliver approved templates (OTPs, order updates, cart nudges) or free-form replies inside the 24-hour window.

Sync customers

Upsert contacts by phone number and attach attributes you can reuse as template variables.

Track delivery

Read message status as it moves from sent to delivered to read — or failed with a reason.

Built for production

Scoped API keys, per-key rate limits, and the same guardrails the app enforces on every send.

Automations

Start a flow from your system and track the result.

Base URL

All endpoints live under a single versioned path. Replace the host with your own deployment.

How it works

  1. 1Create an API key in Settings → API and grant it only the scopes your integration needs.
  2. 2Send it as a Bearer token on every request. See Authentication.
  3. 3Call the endpoints — start with the Quickstart to send your first message in a few minutes.

Prefer to jump straight in?

The Libraries guide has copy-paste clients for Node.js, PHP, and Python, and the Use cases guide walks through OTP, abandoned cart, order-update, and automation flows end to end.
