Best WhatsApp Business API providers in India (2026): an honest comparison

An honest comparison of WhatsApp Business API providers in India — Mywa, WATI, Interakt, AiSensy and Gallabox — by software price, team seats and message rates.

By MywaUpdated 6 min read

A note before we start: we make Mywa, one of the providers below, so we're not neutral. To keep this comparison useful anyway, every price comes from each provider's own public pricing page, checked on 27 September 2026, and we say plainly where another provider is the better choice. If a pricing page didn't state something, we write "not listed" rather than guess.

What actually differs between WhatsApp API providers

Every provider in this list uses Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform. Your messages go through the same infrastructure, with the same delivery, the same template approval and the same rules. The differences come down to four things:

  1. Software price, and whether it rises with each team member.
  2. Message price. Some providers pass on Meta's rate. Others resell messages at their own, higher rate.
  3. What's included. Chatbots, automation runs or extra users are sometimes sold as add-ons.
  4. How it fits your team. Inbox, campaigns, integrations and support.

The first two decide most of your bill. Compare the total monthly cost for your team and volume, not the headline plan price.

The providers, one by one

Mywa

Pricing: ₹999/month or ₹9,999/year (+GST) in India; $14.99/month or $149/year internationally. One plan with every feature.

What's included: a shared team inbox, bulk, scheduled and recurring campaigns, a visual automation builder, WhatsApp calling in the browser, payments in chat, and integrations with Shopify, Google Sheets, webhooks and Meta's Conversions API.

Messages: billed by Meta directly to your own WhatsApp Business Account at Meta's rates. Mywa adds no markup.

Best for: small and mid-sized businesses with up to 5 people on WhatsApp who want one predictable price and Meta's own message rates.

Not the best fit if: you need more than 5 people logged in on one number. The plan includes up to 5 team members, so a plan with unlimited agents may suit a large support team better.

WATI

Pricing: in USD, billed annually: Growth $49/month (3 users, no extra users), Pro $99/month (5 users, +$24 per extra user), Business $249/month (5 users, +$69 per extra user). Plans include 1,000, 2,000 or 5,000 automation triggers a month.

Messages: per-message rates aren't listed on the pricing page; they vary by country and category.

Best for: businesses that prefer USD billing, or that operate in several countries.

Interakt

Pricing: a free Starter plan (owner roles only); Growth ₹2,799/month, or ₹2,239/month billed yearly, with unlimited agents; Advanced ₹3,799/month, or ₹3,039/month billed yearly.

Messages: listed marketing rates for Indian numbers of ₹0.970 (Starter), ₹0.958 (Growth) and ₹0.949 (Advanced). The Enterprise plan lists "no markup charges".

Best for: larger teams that need many agents on one number, and businesses that want a free plan to try first.

AiSensy

Pricing: plans with unlimited users; plan prices weren't shown in the pricing page text we checked. The chatbot builder is an add-on at ₹2,500/month for 5 chatbots.

Messages: listed rates for Indian users of ₹1.09 per marketing message and ₹0.145 per utility or authentication message.

Best for: teams that want unlimited users and send mostly utility messages, where the gap to Meta's rate is smaller in rupee terms.

Gallabox

Pricing: Basic ₹2,999/month quarterly or ₹2,399/month annually (3 users, hard cap); Essential ₹6,999 / ₹5,599 (6 users, +₹1,200 per extra user); Advanced ₹16,999 / ₹13,599 (10 users, +₹1,500 per extra user).

Messages: per-message rates aren't listed on the pricing page.

Best for: businesses that want a tiered plan and are comfortable paying per extra user.

Other options

  • Meta's Cloud API, directly. Access is free, but you get an API, not a product. You'd need developers to build an inbox, campaign sending, template management and automation, and to maintain them as Meta's platform changes.
  • Developer platforms such as Twilio and Gupshup. They're strong if you're building WhatsApp into your own software, and usually priced per message. Most small teams want a ready-made inbox instead.
  • Unofficial "bulk sender" tools. Avoid them. They automate a normal WhatsApp account, which breaks WhatsApp's terms, and they're the most common reason business numbers get banned.

How to choose: a 7-point checklist

  1. Is it the official API? It should connect through Meta's Embedded Signup, with your own WhatsApp Business Account.
  2. What's the total cost? Software for your whole team, plus messages at your real volumes, plus GST.
  3. Is there a message markup? Compare the listed rate with Meta's: ₹0.8631 per marketing message in India.
  4. How many people are included, and what does each extra one cost?
  5. What's an add-on? Check chatbots, automation runs, integrations and extra numbers.
  6. Can you keep your number? Coexistence lets a WhatsApp Business app number connect to the API and keep working in the app.
  7. Can you leave? Monthly plans, cancel anytime, and your WhatsApp Business Account stays yours.

The bottom line

All of these providers give you the official WhatsApp Business API. What differs is how much you pay per seat and per message, and what costs extra.

  • For a team of up to 5 that wants one flat price and Meta's own rates, Mywa is ₹999/month with every feature included.
  • For a large team that needs unlimited agents, Interakt's Growth plan or AiSensy are worth a look; check their per-message rates against Meta's.

Frequently asked questions

Compare the total: software for your team plus the messages you send. A low plan price can be outweighed by per-user fees or a markup on every message. Among the providers we checked, Mywa has the lowest listed platform price for a team of 5 (₹833/month billed annually) and passes on Meta's rate with no markup.

The providers compared here all use Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform. Avoid tools that automate a normal WhatsApp account — they break WhatsApp's terms and put your number at risk of a ban.

Yes, Meta's Cloud API is free to access directly, but you get an API, not an inbox. You'd need developers to build sending, a team interface and template management yourself.

Yes. Your number and WhatsApp Business Account belong to you, so you can disconnect from one provider and connect to another. Your approved templates stay with your WhatsApp Business Account.
